Innisfree International College and Convention Centre (IIC & CC) is the ideal location for students and professors alike
who want to discover mythical Ireland. Set in the heart of Yeats Country, with numerous archaeological sites close by,
IIC & CC provides students with a wonderful opportunity to immerse themselves in history.

The Summer School provided by IIC & CC will consist of a six-week programme in Irish Studies and related academic areas.

Students will be able to choose a selection of modules and may receive credits for each unit. Credits will only be given where students avail of coursework assessment on each module. Coursework may take the form of extended essays, research assignments or portfolio.

The six-week programme will be made up of theoretical input and associated fieldwork, as well as practical input.
Learning outside the classroom

IIC & CC's Summer School offers students a valuable opportunity to retrace Yeats' steps in places such as Parke's Castle, a 17th century fortified manor house; the Lower Rosses, an area close to Yeats' heart; and the enchanting Glencar Lake and waterfall, which inspired Yeats to write his beautiful poem "The Stolen Child".
